Act-Belong-Commit Steering Committee
The Act-Belong-Commit steering committee was formed following the release of the Act-Belong-Commit community forum report and action plan in October 2018.
The steering committee’s role is to provide support to the Act-Belong-Commit Local Coordinator to achieve objectives outlined in the community action plan. The group meet monthly providing expertise and local knowledge to support effective links in the community for the implementation of the campaign in the Muswellbrook LGA.
Debbie Camps, Ability Links Coordinator said, “I wasn’t sure how I could help when I joined the steering committee but I have really enjoyed being a part of such a positive program and team. The steering committee meetings are relaxed and welcoming. I have really appreciated knowing that my ideas and support are valued. The wonderful projects this campaign has achieved in such a short time has been inspiring.”
The group is excited to extend an invitation to other community minded people in the local area to join the steering committee. The group meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month between 1:30-2:30pm.
